Tato práce se zabývá rozdíly ve výslovnosti některých anglických hlásek u rodilých mluvčích němčiny a češtiny. Teoretická část se zabývá klíčovými pojmy a teoriemi v oblasti jazykového transferu, získání druhého jazyka a fonologickými systémy angličtiny, němčiny a češtiny. This thesis deals with the differences in the pronunciation of certain English pho-nemes by native speakers of German and Czech. The theoretical section deals with key concepts and theories in the areas of Language Transfer, L2 Learning, and the phonological systems of English, German, and Czech.The practical sec-tion consists of a study including 10 German and 10 Czech participants. Their speech was recorded and interpreted in accordance with the theoretical findings. The main focus hereby was put on phonemes that do not exist in either German or Czech.
