Cieľom práce je implementácia kontajnerovej infraštruktúry v národnej e-infraštruktúre e-INFRA CZ. Abstract
The aim of thesis is implementation of container infrastructure in national e-infrastructure e-INFRA CZ. Thesis explains fundaments of container technology and analyses various container orchestrators and strategies. Based on analysis, it implements Kubernetes container infrastructure with Rancher distribution on computational resources existing in OpenStack cloud environment. The thesis further discusses …více

The aim of Master's thesis is implementation analysis of container technology in large e-infrastructure, consecutive implementation of chosen strategy and demonstration of final solution's functionality. All components will be done in CERIT-SC environment which is a part of national e-infrastructure e-INFRA CZ.
Thesis will discuss and examine various possibilities of containerisation in large shared e-infrastructure (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift, Singularity) from practical view of point and connection to already existing systems.
Most importantly, following need to be inspected:
- authentication and authorisation services
- storage used in e-INFRA CZ
- computational part of infrastructure, specifically underlying cloud technology OpenStack
In the final part of the thesis, the implementation's applicability will be demonstrated. This will include deploying a few applications, along with a discussion on how to deploy, on some commonly associated issues, etc.
Expected outputs include written text, implementation and eventually set of helper scripts and code for automatisation.
