Course objectives
The main aim of the subject is to introduce the students to the field of physiotherapy and its implementation to preventative care and specific therapy. It is focused on basic terms and structure of physiotherapy, basic particular approaches to physiotehrapy and basic physiotherapy techniques.
Syllabus
  • Lecture:
  • Intruduction to physiotherapy I. – definition, history, education, qualification and competences in the branch of medical rehabilitation, means of physiotherapy (kinesiotherapy, physical therapy, functioanl diagnostics, education, …), organization of physiotherapy care (rehabilitation programme)
  • Kinesitherapy (active movements, passive movements, analytis and complex methods, …)
  • Principles of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM), information mining and its processing
  • Complementary methods in medical rehabilitation – pedagogical methods, education, psychotherapy, sociotherapy etc.
  • Medical rehabilitation of handicapped patients
  • Introduction to neurorehabilitation, motor system ontogenesis
  • Practise:
  • Physiotherapist approach to the patient, exercise unit in kinesitherapy
  • Individual and group Therapeutic exercise, active movement, passive movement, positioning
  • Analytic methods of kinesiotherapy for muscular imbalances compenzation
  • Medical rehabilitation during immobilization
  • Respiratory physiotherapy
  • Kinesiotherapy based on motor ontogenesis
