Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: the basic knowledge about physiology; to understand the physiologic process of organism in the course sports activity; the types of the sports activity
Learning outcomes
Graduates of the course will be able to:
- pacify the body's response to the load for specific groups of sports disciplines;
- identify the mechanisms of adaptation processes;
- analyze workload and load stress tests to determine the degree of stress and thus prevent the development of pathological fatigue.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of lectures:
  • 01. Characteristics of sport disciplines (type of load, duration of performance, load intensity). Sports Performance Factors.
  • 02. Physiological principles of training.
  • 03. Effect of genetics on performance. determinants of sport performance.
  • 04. Stress response (control systems). Disturbance of homeostasis. Acidobasic equilibrium - stress acidosis. Response of the organism to different types of body load.
  • 05. Metabolic performance characteristics (metabolic cover, energy sources, energy supply).
  • 06. Functional Performance Characteristics (HR, VO2, LA, ..).
  • 07. Characteristics of the athlete (load test to maximum: HR max, VO2 max, Wingate test: P max, AC, fatigue index, somatic characteristics).
