Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce theoretical background for reflective and self-reflective methods and techniques that can be used for developing students' thinking and skills required for effective reflection on practice.
Learning outcomes
After finishing the course, the student is able to define basic reflective and self-reflective methods and techniques, to understand their importance for pedagogical practice, to select appropriate techniques in specific situations, to present arguments for his/her option and to apply these methods in practice.

  • Reflection on practice, feedback. Theory for reflection on practice: J. Dewey, K. Lewin, D. A. Kolb, D. Schön. Reflection on instruction and quality development. Self-reflection - a tool for personal and professional development of teachers. Basic reflective and self-reflective methods and techniques. Case study - student. Case study - teacher. Reflection on selected instructional situation.
