Course objectives
Main objective of the course is:
- to introduce the assessment process as a very important theme in social work;
- to analyse process of living situation in the context of teoretical perspectives.
- to understand theories, terms, concepts of the assessment;
- to be able to adopt theories in the assessment of the living situation;
- to be able to to select appropriate theories in the assessment;
- to be accountable in the process of the assessment and in the intervention
Learning outcomes
The student after compleating the course will be able to:
- describe theories, terms, concepts in the assessment area;
- to choose a reasonable theoretical concept of assessment (one or more);
- to justify the interpretation and the basis for intervention;
- make an assessment of the client's life situation;
- group work;

  • Presentation of the clients living situation (film on the adoption of the children from minority group)
  • Choice of an appropriate theory/theories in the assessment
