Abstract
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the principles of structuring fitness group classes and with the methods applied in their leading, with an emphasis on their use in physical education and with different population groups. Furthermore, the course aims to introduce students to the basics of athletics, particularly fundamental athletic disciplines, and to the possibilities of their use in physical education.
Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  1. Understand the principles of structuring indoor classes and apply them in planning and conducting physical education lessons.

  2. Know and practically use methods for leading indoor classes adapted to different age and performance groups.

  3. Understand the basics of athletics and fundamental athletic disciplines.

  4. Apply athletic disciplines in physical education and when working with diverse population groups.

  5. Integrate knowledge of indoor classes and athletics for effective planning and delivery of movement activities in both school and extracurricular settings.

1. Characteristics and Structuring of Fitness Group Classes

2. Choreographic Classes (Aerobics) – demonstration, analysis, and application for different age and performance groups, with an emphasis on school physical education.

3. Fitness Classes

  • Interval and Circuit Training – Basic Form – demonstration, analysis, and application for different population groups, with an emphasis on school physical education.

  • High-Intensity Interval Training – HIIT – demonstration, analysis, and application for various population groups, particularly in school physical education.

  • during the semester presentation and leading of 3 complete demonstrations of different types of classes
