Course objectives
Emergency medicine for medical rescuers is a profiling theoretical and practical subject. Its aim is to prepare students both theoretically and practically for the job of a medical rescue worker, a member of the emergency rescue service team or the hospital emergency department team.
Learning outcomes
Students gradually acquire the practical skills necessary for the applied techniques and techniques in the management of all types of urgent states, life-threatening conditions and other serious conditions in pre-hospital and hospital emergency care, following lectures topics.
Syllabus
  • The technique of basic emergency resuscitation with the use of barrier aids and, above all, extended emergency resuscitation with the use of recommended medicaments, aids and instrumentation.
  • Managing special, alternative techniques to ensure vital functions, including basic pharmacotherapy.
  • Methodology for the solution of all urgent, life-threatening conditions in both adults and children in pre-hospital and early hospital phases, all in accordance with the recommended procedures of the Society of Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine, as well as other professional companies dealing with urgent conditions such as cardiological, neurological, and others.
