- Aim of the subject is to provide students with theoretical knowledge necessary to collection, analyze and presentation of data and veryfying hypothesis.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will be able to
-use the acquired knowledge in the comparison of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures from which to choose the most appropriate method in estimating the health needs of the population group,
- to use in monitoring and explaining differences in the health status of different groups of people. - Syllabus
- Importance of statistics in medical research and medical practice
- Basic statistic definitions (basic sample, selection, probability )
- Theoretical distribution (normal, binomic)
- Stages of the statistic search
- Datas description (sorting, graphs, indicators)
- Variability in medicine
- Statistical induction, conditions
- Theory of estimation
- Testing of statistical hypothesis
