Course objectives
The course of assistent teaching practice aims to help the students orient themselves in authentic school education. The students observe and reflect real-life situations in schools and provide assistence to teachers. A specific aim of the course is to observe and try out lessons in order to tackle the issue of lesson planning.
Learning outcomes
Students learn to reflect the observed processes within the classroom and school as well as the pedagogical acting of the teachers, relationships and interactions between teachers and students and their own participation in classroom situations. Students keep their journal and enrich their professional portfolio.
Syllabus
  • Reflection of issues generated by observing authentic teaching and learning.
  • Developing structured record of authentic lesson, and inducing the structure of a lesson plan.
  • Realisation and reflection of own teaching sequence.
