Course objectives
The aim of the course is that students is able to transformate the teoretic mathematical knowledge into subject matter of secondary school. Student will understand the methods and forms in mathematical education, natural numbers, rational numbers, numerals, basic operations.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will know: The issue of the transition between the 1st and 2nd grade of elementary school. Objectives of teaching mathematics at the 2nd grade of elementary school. Framework educational program. Educational processes, methods and work forms of teaching mathematics, organization of the teaching process, including material and technical means. Ways of introducing concepts from arithmetic, verifying their properties, proofs of mathematical theorems. They will become familiar with the approach to the introduction of these concepts in various pedagogical directions. After completing the course, the student will be able to use the knowledge of mathematics didactics in practice.
