Course objectives
The aim is to prepare the students to work with pupils with special educational needs and lead the students to the creation of appropriate conditions and teaching strategies for their education in common schools.
Learning outcomes
After of the course students will be able to: Explain the theoretical concept of inclusive education, its values and principles. Formulate theoretical basis for the creation of inklusive educational strategies and their implementation in school practice. Applied to evaluate teaching strategies for the target group of students.
Syllabus
  • 1. The theoretical basis of inclusive education, the current situation in the Czech Republic and in the V4 (Visegrad Four) countries 2. Paradigm of inclusive education in the context of the V4, the value approach in inclusive education principles 3. Basic terms, a change in the understanding of the function of school / class and status of teachers in the school / classroom work with diversity 4. Inclusive School and its quality (concept in the Czech Republic and the other countries V4) 5. Contextual factors of inclusive education, internal and external collaboration schools 6. Basic principles of teaching and access to educational needs, applying of the principles in practice 7. Diagnostics of educational needs of pupils, special educational needs, education strategies in a heterogeneous team 8. Model situations focused on the practical aspects of working in an inclusive school / class (the cooperation of teachers and assistants) 9. Model situations focused on the practical aspects of working in an inclusive school / class (diverse composition class group) 10. Model situations focusing on the practical aspects of working in an inclusive school / class (in collaboration with other teachers) 11. Model situations focusing on the practical aspects of working in an inclusive school / class (communication with family) 12. Reflection of the course and colloquium
