Prerequisites

The English course for intermediate students who can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, etc., who can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest, and can read texts and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. This course is focused on developing of specialised vocabulary connected to the field of study, i.e. Special Needs Education. Level B1 course.

Course objectives
In the compulsorily-optionalsubject English as a Foreign Language, the students will consolidate their language skills on B1 level and will develop some academic skills in English (oral presentation, supporting argument, discussion, etc). Successful students will be credited for 1)Active participation in the consultations (1 absence is admitted), 2) Careful preparation for each consultation, 3) Oral presentation, 4)The end-of-the-term test (70% passmark).

Information on completion of the course: Pro úspěšné ukončení předmětu jsou předepsány v semestru průběžné kontroly, jejichž výsledky jsou započítávány do závěrečného hodnocení. Jazykovy kurz neni urcen pro zacatecniky
The course is taught annually.
General note: Předmět bude zapsán po udělení zápočtu za Vstupní test CJV_AJA2k, který si student zapíše v podzimním semestru, test na úrovni B1 složí v lednu, a předmět absolvuje v jarním semestru.
