Prerequisites
Student, who choose this subject has to: 1. pass the subject Komunikace osob se sluchovým postižením 2. attended a course of Czech sign language for 2 years Student will prove the ability to communicate in this language system during the conversation with native user of Czech sign language.

Course objectives
At the end of the course student should be able to understand communication forms of peopele with hearing impairment. Student will command visual communication systems - sign language and finger spelling.
Syllabus
  • At the end of the course student should be able to understand following terminology: Organization helping people with hearing impairment, hearing disorders, classification, prevention, individual speciality, history of care of people with hearing impairment, psychological peculiarities of people with hearing disabilities, principles and work methods, technical aids, various ways of communication, sign language, interpreting, total communication, bilingual methods, specifics of work with people with hearing impairment and deaf people, early intervention, educational proces of hearing impaired children, condition of integration, employ of hearing impaired, special care of deafblind people.

Teaching methods
Seminars, workshops, discussion, practical course of sign language.
Assessment methods
Written test, oral exam, from sign language. During the conversation with native user of sign language, student will prove the ability to communicate in this language system.
