Student, who choose this subject has to: 1. pass subject Komunikace jedinců se sluchovým postižením 2. command visual communication systems - Czech sign language in the range of tutorial Langer, J., Ptáček, V., Dvořák, K. Znaková zásoba českého znakového jazyka k rozšiřujícímu studiu surdopedie se zaměřením na znakový jazyk. Olomouc: UP PdF, 2004, ISBN 80-244-0846-5. 3. During the conversation with native user of sign language, student will prove the ability to communicate in this language system.

Abstract
At the end of the course student should be able to understand communication forms of peopele with hearing impairment. Student will command visual communication systems - sign language and finger spelling.

At the end of the course student should be able to understand following fields: organizations helping people with hearing impairment, hearing disorders, classification, prevention, individual speciality, history of care of people with hearing impairment, psychological peculiarities of people with hearing disabilities, principles and work methods, technical aids, various ways of communication, sign language, interpreting, total communication, bilingual methods, specifics of work with people with hearing impairment and deaf people, early intervention, educational proces, condition of integration, employ and special care, deafblindness.

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
Seminars, workshops, discussion, practical course of sign language.
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
Written test, oral exam, from sign language. During the conversation with native user of sign language, student will prove the ability to communicate in this language system.
