Course objectives
In accordance with the requirements of inclusive education to prepare students to work with pupils with assorted educational requirements, needs and abilities and lead them to creating suitable conditions and teaching strategies for their education in mainstream schools . In this subject will consistently linking theory with practice to equip students with the knowledge, but also skills with heterogeneous population of pupils. Outputs: • Students will learn the theoretical concept of inclusive education, its values ​​and principles. • Students will become familiar with the legislative measures and strategies for the development of state educational inclusion. • Become familiar with the quality model of inclusive schools - the possible areas and the development dimension of quality inclusion in school. • Theoretical background needed for the preparation of appropriate teaching strategies and their implementation in practice of the teaching practice (linking theory with practice). • Apply the principles of inclusiveness in the planning of the teachings and the choice of appropriate teaching strategies for the target group of pupils.
Syllabus
  • 1. Theoretical foundations of inclusive education • philosophical, historical and pedagogical bases • legislative and regulatory framework, the constitutional order of the decrees • argumentation platforms and frameworks • the current situation in the Czech Republic and abroad 2. The paradigm of inclusive education • value of inclusive approach to education, the principles of inclusive education • basic concepts: inclusion, integration, heterogeneity, individuation, differentiation... • change in understanding the function of schools/classes and the position of the teacher in the school/classroom • class - heterogeneous community of learners, diversity and its adoption - working with diversity 3. Inclusive school, its quality • quality inclusion in school, the system concept • contextual factors of inclusive education • internal and external cooperation school (cooperating entities to aid in the development of an inclusive environment) 4. Terms of inclusive education • organizational • material • personnel • content (an adaptation of the curriculum in schools/classes) 5. Inclusive education in school/class 1 • basic principles and didactic approach to the learning needs of students applying principles in practice • diagnostics of educational needs, special educational needs • planning of the educational process 6. Inclusive education in school/class 2 • management of the educational process • strategy of education in a heterogeneous team 7. Inclusive education in school/class 3 • student assessment in inclusive school • supporting mechanisms in work with the class and individual pupils
