Prerequisites
The course focuses on education towards tolerance and against racism and violence. It deals with multicultural education as part of the society, specifically with regard to various target groups.

Course objectives
The course focuses on education towards tolerance and against racism and violence. It deals with multicultural education as part of the society, specifically with regard to various target groups. The goal of the course is to outline the current topics of multicultural education, which are currently being discussed in the society. A large part of the course involves meetings with representatives of individual areas of ME and practical involvement of the students.
Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course, the students will be able to: • Critically reflect upon current topics of multicultural education • Define complex concepts of multicultural education • Work as part of a team on compiling a multicultural programme • Give feedback to a specific multicultural programme

  • Themes: • Methodical work children and youths, games, activities, exercises. • RWCT programme as a means of multicultural education. • Discussion about topics selected by the students.

Teaching methods
The students will prepare for a final colloquy by reading the study sources. During the seminars the students will work in small groups under the teacher’s supervision. Each team will choose a topic based on which they will produce a multicultural lesson, which they will teach at a school of their choice. The students will learn to work with multicultural education as a methodological tool, which can be applied during education towards tolerance and in countering prejudice.
