Course objectives
The main objective of this course is to analyse the concepts of social work, methods of social work, stages of social work, social work with a client, group, and community. Social policy and a social state as a pre-requisite for an effective social work.
Learning outcomes
Student is able to: to define social work

describe social policy and the welfare state as a prerequisite for effective social work.

Social work - basic characteristics of the field, objectives, methods and forms of social work. 2.Social Services Act - Definition of Selected Services, Quality Standards of Social Services, Qualification requirements. 3. Personality of a social worker (professional and personal profile, risk, supervision). 4. Transformation of social services away from residential to outpatient and field services. 5. Basic methods of working in social work with people with disabilities or social disadvantage. 6. Counseling process (definition, phase of counseling 7.
