Abstract
The aim of the course is to develop language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and to acquire pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar at level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should have acuired the following knowledge and skills:
• the basics of German pronunciation • the vocabulary of the covered lessons of the textbook
• the grammar of coverd lessons of the textbook
• basic language skills within the level A1

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
interaktive group activities, reading and listening tasks, written assignements, individual preparation at home
Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
  • Final online test – pass mark 60%
  • Compulsory active participation in class 70% (4 absences permitted)
  • Completion of a mid-term test in the middle of the semester, in the asynchronous seminar group, successful completion of a mid-term test – pass mark 60%
  • If you have 5 or more absences or do not complete the mid-term test, you will be given an X grade (making it impossible to pass the course)
  • Two mandatory assignments for the asynchronous group
