Course objectives
Doctoral students present a paper relating to the topic of their doctoral thesis, eventually methods used for its elaboration. The topic, extent and manner of the paper presentation are set according to the agreement between the supervisor and the doctoral student. The paper may be presented at conferences, symposia, specialized colloquia, workshops.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to work out a specialized paper and to present it in front of the specialized audience at an event of scientific nature (conference, symposium, seminar, specialized colloquium, or workshop).
Syllabus
  • 1. Bases to write a specialized text.
  • 2. Articulation of a research problem.
  • 3. Heuristics and source research.
  • 4. Working-out of specialized text.
  • 5. Presentation of the text to experts.
Teaching methods
The course is taught in form of individual sessions with the supervisor.
Assessment methods
In order to gain credits, students have to prepare and present their research paper.
