Abstract
The service sector is an increasingly important part of developed economies. Virtually every product includes a service component, and in recent years, many information products have been transformed into services. The goal of this course is to: - Provide students with interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of innovation and design of information services, - Introduce topics central to the study specialization in Design of Information Services, - Theoretically prepare students for designing and implementing their own information service innovation projects, - Familiarize students with current practices and highlight the role of a service designer across various sectors (commercial, public, and non-profit services and projects).
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to understand:
- service design in field context,
- design process and using of its methods,
- specifications of developing (information) services in public sector,
- the principle of responsibility of service designer,
- design advancement levels of organizations,
- evaluation of services and its innovations.

Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
In order to successfully complete the course, students must:
1. submit a reflective curatorial annotated portfolio of design projects (50 points)
2. pass an oral colloquium on the topics of the portfolio (50 points)
3. voluntarily complete three ongoing assignments (5 points each)

The grading scale is as follows:
A – 90-100
B – 80-89
C – 70-79
D – 65-69
E – 60-64
F – 59 and below
