Course objectives
The aim of this course is to provide a possibly cherent overview of the evolution of entertainment in Japan. At the end of the course, students should have a better understanding of the evolution of entertainment in Japan and should be able to view the individual pastimes in the broader context of the culture of entertainment as well as in the context of Japanese history.
Learning outcomes
Upon finishing this course, the students will be able: -to identify and describe many of the forms of entertaiment from Japanese history -to understand individual forms and entertainment in the broader context of Japanese culture -to see the connections between Japanese history and its entertainment

Teaching methods
Lectures with the use of audiovisual materials. Periodic online tasks.
Assessment methods
Written test. Score of 60% or higher required. In order to be able to take the text, students need to have an at least 70% attendance which is substituted by periodic tasks at the time of online teaching.
