Course objectives
The main aim of the subject is the introductionof the srudents to the issue of crisis and crisis intervention, aquirement of basic theoretical knowledge and terms of this field (what is crisis, crisis types, crisis forms, pathological course of crisis, the solution of crisis, forms of help, help and inspection, crisis intervention, characteristics and principles of crisis intervention, the process of crisis intervention, hardness and limits of crisis intervention). The subject follows the findings of the basic psychological sciences (general psycology, personality psychology, social psychology and psychopathology). The interpretation is focused, from the broad spectrum of life crises, on crises rising from sudden traumatizing stress (CAN syndrom, rape, PTSD), crises from expected changes in life (tranzistorical), crises rising from personality, situational crises and so-called psychiatric importunatenesses (emergent psychoses, drug or alcohol intoxication, sucidial behaviour). The students are being familiarized with the aims and means of crisis intervention for the solution of individual types of crises and they individualy, within the seminars, search for test procedures and propose solutions.
