Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to apply knowledge acquired during previous language courses on unknown text in Chinese; the emphasis will be put on understanding of sentence structure and gradual building of students' vocabulary.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
1.understand the main points of Ch12-20.
2.understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday or job-related language.
3.deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
4.deal with unprepared conversation on topics that are familiar, of personal interest or pertinent to everyday life.
5.present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects related to my field of interest.
6.explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
