The course Latin I is for graduates, non-graduates and absolute beginners. Previous knowledge is not required.

Course objectives
Graduates of the course Latin I have to acquire a knowledge of grammar and vocabulary from the textbook Latina pro posluchače FF, Units 1-8.
Learning outcomes
They must be able to translate very easy Latin texts into Czech.
Syllabus
  • Graduates of the course Latin I have to acquire knowledge of grammar and vocabulary from the textbook Latina pro posluchače FF, Units 1-8. One semester covers Units 1-8 from the textbook Latina pro posluchače FF. The grammar is explained and all excercises and revision lessons will be included. More exercises will follow when time permits.

grammar is explained, exercises nad revision lessons are included
Assessment methods
Written examination consisting in identification and translation of 10 verbal forms, 10 syntagmas subst. + adj./part./pron., and 10 Latin clauses, minimum pass level 60%
