Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:

understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in school, leisure, etc;

understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency everyday language;

deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken;

deal with unprepared conversation on topics that are familiar, of personal interest or pertinent to everyday life (e.g. family, hobbies, work, travel and current events);

present clear descriptions on a certain range of subjects related to fields of interest;

briefly explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options;
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - understand paragraph-length utterances pertaining to a wide range of topics relating to daily and academic life. - sustain conversation in coherent paragraphs - identify key facts and some details in descriptive material on daily life. - write essays of 400-500 characters, comprising at least 3 paragraphs, dealing with topics related to the content of the lesson texts studied in class

Assessment methods (in Czech)
 Evaluation Method (70%↑, can attends final exam.) Students have the right to participate in the Final exam only if they have total score (Attendance + Assignment + Quiz+Test) above 70%.  Attendance 25% 3 unexcused absences allowed during the semester.  Assignments 30% 1. You have to hand in your assignment on time. Besides, please finish the assignment before the class. And if you are absent on the class when your assignment should be handed in, the deadline of your assignment will be postponed to next class spontaneously. 1 late assignment 23% 2 late assignment 16% 3 late assignment 9% 4 late assignment 0% 2.Sometimes according to the lesson it might have the extra assignments. 3. In the class you should bring the notebook A&B with you. You should take note and practice the grammar for that week, on every Monday you need to give me and use another notebook for keep going to next lesson.  Quiz 20% The quiz will test the Vocabularies on every Tuesday for 10 minutes. Moreover, we will have some unannounced Quiz sometimes.  Tests 25%12 times. If you lost one time, you should have another test in next day. Otherwise you will get 0 from your that time grade.  Final exam ( Written+Oral 70%↑: pass, 70%↓: fail) Written Exam: The exam will test from Lesson 11 to Lesson 20. Oral Exam: Presentation.
