- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide comprehensive information about the study of the primary sources relevant for the topics of the dissertations.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to work with primary sources relevant and necessary for the topic of the dissertation.
- Syllabus
- Bloc teaching:
- Editing work (part III.): collation of manuscripts, lectiones variae, emendations, conjectures and other basic editorial terms;
- commentary, „ratio edendi“, authorities;
- Sources and literature, edited sources including manuscripts, old prints;
- CTE (Classical Text editor), working with electronic databases of edited sources.
- Literature
- Literatura: dle zvolených témat doktorských disertací.
- Literature is assigned based on the topics of the dissertation.
- Teaching methods
- Lecture, presentation of progress of the doctoral projects, seminar discussion.
- Assessment methods
- Regular and active class participation; presentation of the dissertation.
