Course objectives
The course follows up with the coursebook used in previous course PJ_03 Polish for beginners – Polski: Krok po kroku 1, this time we will work with units 8-13.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course students should be able:
- to comprehend common Polish articles on the internet,
- to answer the question At what time?
- to manage communication situations connected to meeting,
- to answer the question From where? Where to?
- to manage communication situations in shops (basic phrases, sortiment – food, clothes, newsagent stuff), colours, covers, names of shops,
- to create and respond appropriately to compliment,
- to answer the question Where? About what/who?
- to manage orientation – ask for and give directions, understand and follow instructions (+ directions, city objects),
- to manage communication at railway or bus station nad in a hostel (to do reservation via e-mail),
- to use time expressions, such as names of days, months+answer the question How often? For how long? When was the last time you...?
- to express themselves in past and future tense,
- to make comparisons.

Teaching methods
Theoretical instruction combined with numerous practical language exercises, conversaton, homeworks.
Assessment methods
Continuous assessment (regular short written tests, 50% is the lowest passing score). Three absences are allowed. Optional oral exam (+ 1 ECTS point).
