Abstract
The course Management and Human Resource Management is designed for students of the Master's degree in Social Pedagogy and Counselling, with a special focus on the management of non-profit organisations and social services. The aim of the course is to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of human resource management, with emphasis on the specifics of the non-profit sector and the field of social service delivery. Students will learn the main principles of human resource management, including recruitment, employee development, motivation, performance appraisal and conflict resolution. The course also focuses on the specific challenges faced by nonprofit organizations, such as limited resources, volunteerism, social project management, and working with clients in social services. Students will be guided to develop skills in leadership, organizational culture, and strategic planning that are essential for effective management of organizations focused on helping others.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to: Understand the theoretical basis of management and human resources management Design a human resource management strategy for non-profit organizations Know effective tools for recruitment, selection and development of employees Know the principles of leadership in non-profit organizations and social services Know the stages of change management Describe aspects of organisational culture Know the basic principles relating to the funding of non-profit organisations

Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
lecture, seminar, discussion, group project, analysis of strategic documents, discussion with practitioners For the completion of the course a load of 125 hours (5 ECTS credits) is calculated: 30 hours - participation in the classroom 25 hours - reading literature, self-study of study materials in e-learning and systematic preparation for seminars 10 preparation for discussion and debate with a practitioner 35 hours - independent preparation and elaboration of the final project 25 hours - preparation of seminar presentation and feedback on another project, final reflection

80 % attendance, active participation in class, analysis of documents, preparation of the final project including evaluation of the assigned project
