- Course objectives
- Aim of the course is introduce students to history of nourishment, nourishment stereotypes, nourishment recommendations.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course student will be oriented in basic nutrients, mineral and vitamines and will be able to assemble bill of fare for individual in various phases of ontogenesis, diseases diet.

- 1. Human nutrition in history and present, Basic concepts in human nutrition
- 2. Proteins, Sugars, Fats, Cholesterol
- 3. Vitamins, Minerals and trace elements
- 4. Digestive system - Digestive tube
- 5. Nutrition of selected groups: Nutrition of preschool children, Nutrition of children of younger school-age and older school-age, Influence of nutrition on pregnancy, Nutrition in old age
- 6. Alternative nutrition
- 7. Principles of good nutrition - current requirements
- 8. Weight control, Nutrition and prevention of health disorders
- 9. Energy demands of physical activity, Acid-base balance, Metabolism (and at work)
- 10. Nutrigenomics
- 11. Rhythmic changes - Basic data, Classification of synchronizers by force of action, Biorhythms, Developmental and population biorhythms
