Course objectives
At the end of the course students should get familiar with the modern molecular-biology techniques and explain the principles of microarray and next generation sequencing technologies
Learning outcomes
After participating on the course student will be able to - apply CRISPR technology in his research - describe principle of next generation sequencing (NGS) - design NGS experiment - analyze NGS data
Syllabus
  • 1. Microarrays - technological aspects: expression, CGH, SNP arrays, resequencing and protein arrays; 2. Next generation sequencing (NGS) – technological aspects of different NGS platforms 3. Library preparation for NGS 4. Methods for non-coding RNA analysis – miRNA, lncRNA, examples of applications in oncology 5. Data analysis – bioinformatics and statistics 6. Aplications and experiment design
