The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course will provide an introduction to electron microscopy for structural, cell biology. Students will gain practical knowledge oriented towards understanding sample preparation, principles of electron microscope function, measurement methods and data analysis.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will gain:
- an understanding of the principles of the electron microscope
- understanding of the principles of image formation in electron microscopy
- ability to evaluate the suitability of electron microscopy for problem solving in biological research
- an understanding of the methods of data analysis
