- The course is concluded with a written final examination held during the examination period, worth a maximum of 50 points.
During the semester, students complete two midterm tests in seminars (Week 6 and Week 12), each worth 30 points, for a total of 60 points. The tests cover seminar material and consist of multiple choice questions and three computational problems; during the midterm tests, students may use a one page A4 formula sheet. To be admitted to the final examination, students must obtain at least 60 percent of the midterm points, i.e. a minimum of 36 points. The points earned in the midterm tests are included in the final course evaluation.
Seminar participation is evaluated with up to 2 points per seminar, and students must obtain at least 10 participation points during the semester; any additional points are automatically included in the overall course evaluation.
Students may also earn bonus points through voluntary KvIS quizzes completed during lecture time, with a maximum of 2 points per lecture; KvIS quizzes can only be accessed during the lecture and no corrections or make up attempts are possible.
The total maximum number of points is 120, plus any additional bonus points from lecture and seminar activities or homework assignments, and to successfully pass the course students must obtain at least 60 percent, i.e. 72 points.
The grading scale is as follows:
A 92 percent or above (111–120 points),
B 91–85 percent (101–110 points),
C 84–76 percent (92–100 points),

E 67–60 percent (72–81 points), and
F 59 percent or below (0–70 points).
If a student fails to meet the conditions required for admission to the final examination, they are entitled to one resit test in the first week of the examination period, which must be passed with at least 60 percent; if successful, the student is admitted to the final examination with the points earned during the semester, while the resit test points are not included in the final evaluation. The resit test consists of multiple choice questions with one correct answer and covers all chapters discussed during the semester.

This rule applies to all components of the course assessment, including midterm tests, the final examination, seminar activities, homework, semester papers, and any other graded assignments.
- Náhradní absolvování
- If a student goes abroad and does not enrol in an equivalent course at the host institution, they must complete two midterm tests and a final exam upon return in order to pass the course. The final grade will be based on the total number of points earned from all three components. Alternatively, if the student completes an equivalent course abroad, they may apply for its recognition. In such cases, the student must contact the course guarantor before departure to agree on the required conditions.
