Anotace
Course Aim: The goal of this course is to provide students with a foundational understanding of teaching and assistant roles in education. Students will be introduced to key terminology and concepts in education and psychology, equipping them with knowledge that will be valuable not only for subsequent courses but also for the development of their professional thinking. Learning Objectives: - To introduce students to fundamental terminology, theories, and the development of education, general psychology, and the psychology of personality. - To explore the relationships between education, psychology, and other social science disciplines. - To demonstrate how knowledge in education and psychology can be applied in teaching and assistant roles. Prerequisite Information: Completion of this course is a prerequisite for enrolling in other educational and psychological courses. Course Structure: The course will consist of two-hour lectures, delivered by instructors from both the Department of Education and the Department of Psychology.
Výstupy z učení
After completing the course, students will be able to: - Understand the fundamental concepts and terminology of education and psychology. - Read and comprehend common educational and psychological texts intended for teachers, engage with them critically, and think creatively about the content. - Differentiate between academic knowledge in education and psychology and general, popular knowledge in these fields.
