Basic knowledges from general biochemistry and methods of biochemical research.

Course objectives
The goals of the lecture are to get to students the knowledge from separation methods in biochemistry and molecular biology, which are used for macromolecules purification (proteins, nucleic acids). A content of the first part includes electromigration methods. Second part is oriented onto chromatography methods and third part is dedicated in Field Flow Fractionation, Supercritical Fluid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry.

Teaching methods
The two-hour lectures will be given by internal or external specialist in the respective areas.
Assessment methods
The final exam is in the form of written test, which contains questions from the presented lectures. The time for the test is one hour, the grade are A to F. Examiner Prof. Janiczek.
