- Parts of the final state examination and its contentFinal state exam consists of the following parts:
1. Defense of the diploma thesis
2. Literary and area Slavonic studies – oral exam verifying (according to selected profile language) the knowledge of theory and history of selected Slavic literature (literatures) in cultural and historical context of particular area (Ukrainian / Eastern Slavic and Central Slavic, eventually Polish / Central Slavic, or South Slavic / Balkan – based on absolved courses student needs to choose one of the areas), comparative literature and genre studies, exam also verifies orientation in the history of mutual relations between Slavic nations and cultural background.
3. Linguistic Slavonic studies and profile Slavic language – oral exam verifying knowledge from the area of theoretical thinking about language, diachronic and synchronic development of a respective Slavic language (languages), orientation in stylistics and practical knowledge of chosen profile language (in such case a written test is part of the exam), that means knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and ability to express oneself in writing and speaking on certain level in chosen language (major requires level B1+ up to B2).
