Zadání práce
The bachelor thesis will be concerned with an English-Czech translation of fiction and the mistakes the translators make. The work will consist of two main parts. The practical part will demonstrate the problems with translation on comparison of two different translations of the same text. The text has been extracted from the novel Hour Game, which has been branded as the worst translation of 2006. The next part of this bachelor thesis will deal with the analysis of the concrete translation issues contained in the text. The goal is to show that not all translations officially published in our country are appropriate and have the same literary value as the original.
