Práce analyzuje a zkoumá budoucnost Severního Irska v kontextu post-Brexitové Evropy. V roce 2016 se ve Spojeném království konalo refe-rendum o vystoupení z Evropské unie. V lednu 2020 vstoupila v plat-nost dohoda o vystoupení z EU (tzv. Brexitová dohoda), jejíž součástí byl i Protokol o Irsku/Severním Irsku. The thesis analyses and explores the future of Northern Ireland in the context of post-Brexit Europe. In 2016, the United Kingdom held an in/out referendum and decided to leave the European Union. The thesis analyses and explores the future of Northern Ireland in the context of post-Brexit Europe. In 2016, the United Kingdom held an in/out referendum and decided to leave the European Union. In January 2020, Brexit Withdrawal Agreement which included the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland. This Protocol has been one of the most sensitive parts of the whole deal due to the complex history of British-Irish relations and specifically of Northern Ireland. It is due to be revised in 2024. Within this context, there is much debate still going on about the future of Northern Ireland. Various questions concerning the unification of Ireland, the future border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as well as the border between Northern Ireland and Great Britain arise and they need to be solved. Using the scenario method this thesis suggests possible scenarios for how the situation could further develop.
