The thesis is conceptualized as a policy paper and deals with the ongoing post-Brexit tensions in Northern Ireland. Its significance is substantiated by Brexit consequences for Northern Ireland and the tensions that it creates between the United Kingdom (UK) and the European Union (EU). Indeed, since the island nation departed from the EU, numerous problems have appeared between the UK and the EU. Yet, it is the crisis in Northern Ireland that has emerged as the most significant one. The paramount aim of this thesis is to provide policy recommendations to the UK Government to solve the ongoing crisis in Northern Ireland (NI). To do so, it among other things evaluates the Northern Ireland Protocol and its effects which may potentially disrupt order in the region. The policy recommendations are accompanied also by a SWOT analysis for the purpose of evaluating their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
