Computational modelling and study of electrostatic interactions in biological systems
Abstract
Všechny hlavní biomolekuly, jako jsou proteiny, lipidy a nukleové kyseliny, obsahují nabité a/nebo polární chemické skupiny. Elektrostatické interakce těchto skupin patří k nejsilnějším a nejdalekodosahovějším v biologických systémech. Tyto interakce proto hrají klíčovou roli při určování rozpustnosti, struktury a funkce molekul. Ve výpočetní biologii se elektrostatické interakce popisují pomocí parciálních …more
Abstract
All major biomolecules such as proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids contain charged and/or polar chemical groups. The electrostatic interactions of these groups are among the strongest and most long-range in biological systems. Consequently, these interactions play a crucial role in the determination of molecular solubility, structure, and function. In computational biology, electrostatic interactions …more
