Táto práca sa zaoberá programom záverečných prác v spoločnosti Red Hat Czech, ktorá je dlhoročným partnerom univerzít v Českej republike. This paper examines the thesis program at Red Hat Czech, a long-standing partner of universities in the Czech Republic. By analyzing almost a decade of program data, this study evaluates the program's current state, identifies significant trends, and pinpoints areas for improvement to ensure its long-term sustainability and success. The employees of Red Hat Czech s.r.o. have (co-)supervised bachelor and master theses at Masaryk University and the Brno University of Technology for more than ten years now. The time has come to reflect on this part of the academic-industrial cooperation, evaluate the outcomes and revise the accompanying company processes as necessary.

In particular, the student working on this topic should:

  • Understand the ways students cooperate with Red Hat (on final theses or other aspects) in at least three different regions and make an overview comparison of regional specifics.
  • Consolidate, clean and analyze historical data of theses written in cooperation with Red Hat Czech to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Revise the processes around theses written in cooperation with Red Hat Czech. The revised lifecycle should include the basic use cases of company employees suggesting a topic, students coming with(out) a topic, updating stale topics, topics (un)successfully defended, data analysis of past topics etc.
  • Adjust the company-internal communication and implement the tracking tools as necessary to initiate the revised lifecycle.
