Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem vybraných částí knihy Dám ti slunce od autorky Jandy Nelson. Vybrané části jsou přeloženy a porovnány s oficiálním českým překladem Veroniky Volhejnové. První část práce se zabývá knihou, jejími tématy a poté překladem autora. Druhá část práce se věnuje komparativní analýze s oficiálním překladem.

Abstract

The thesis deals with the translation of selected parts of the book I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. The chosen parts are translated and compared with the official Czech translation by Veronika Volhejnová. The first part of the work introduces the book and its themes and then focuses on the author’s translation. The second part is devoted to the comparative analysis with the official translation.

Thesis description
The thesis will deal with the translation of selected parts from the book I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. It will be then compared with the official Czech translation. The first part of the work will focus on the author's translation of the selected parts, the second part will introduce the theory of translation and present the comparative analysis of the author's translation with the official Czech translation. The aim is to compare different approaches and decisions in the process of translation.
