- Course objectives
- At the end of the course (MKE_MIE2) students acquire intermediate knowledge of microeconomic theory. Students will learn the economic theory of the consumer, firm and general equilibirium. The intermediate course of microeconomics provides students with the knowledge necessary for further studies of microeconomics on the doctoral level.

- 1. Budget Constraint, Preferences, Utility, Choice and Revealed Preferences
- 2. Demand, Slutsky Equation, Consumer's Surplus, Market Demand, Equilibrium and Uncertainty
- 3. Technology, Profit Maximization, Cost Minimization, Cost Curves, Firm Supply and Industry Supply
- 4. Monopoly, Monopoly Behaviour, Oligopoly
- 5. Game Theory, Asymmetric Information, Exchange and Production

- Assessment methods
- Final exam: written test. Any copying, recording or leaking tests, use of unauthorized tools, aids and communication devices, or other disruptions of objectivity of exams (credit tests) will be considered non-compliance with the conditions for course completion as well as a severe violation of the study rules. Consequently, the teacher will finish the exam (credit test) by awarding grade "F" in the Information System, and the Dean will initiate disciplinary proceedings that may result in study termination.
