Course objectives
At the end of the course (MPE_MIE2) students acquire intermediate knowledge of microeconomic theory. Students will learn the economic theory of the consumer, firm and general equilibirium. The intermediate course of microeconomics provides students with the knowledge necessary for further studies of microeconomics on the doctoral level.

  • 2. Demand, Slutsky Equation, Consumer's Surplus, Market Demand, Equilibrium and Uncertainty
  • 3. Technology, Profit Maximization, Cost Minimization, Cost Curves, Firm Supply and Industry Supply
  • 4. Monopoly, Monopoly Behaviour, Oligopoly
  • 5. Game Theory, Assymetric Information, Exchange and Production
