- Abstract
- Students will have the basic overview of urgent situations of most frequent internal diseases, which are probable to appear, urgent situation and their solutions are stressed.
- Learning outcomes
- Student is able to take the history during acute worsening of internal diseases.
Students knows main symptoms of acute complications of internal diseases.
Student can perform physical examination in acute conditions.
Student has an overview of laboratory, imaging and further diagnostic methods in acute conditions.
Student is trained in procedures of basic and advanced basic life support.
Student is able to describe procedures following reanimation. - Key topics
- Respiratory diseases I (respiratory failure, pulmonary inflammation, aspiration, ARDS, PNO, bleeding).
- 2. Cardiac diseases I (cardiac failure, arrythmias, acute conorary syndrome).
- 3. Cardiac diseases II (Hypertension crisis, pulmonary embolism, cardiac inflammative diseases, tamponade).
- 4. Angiology (thromboembolic disease, acute arterial obstruction, lymfatic system disturbances, erysipel).
- 5. Hypotension, shock (shocks, diagnostics, treatment).
- 6. Haematological diseases (complications of anaemia, white blood cells diseases, coagulation disturbances - DIC, bleeding).
- 7. Imunology (specific and nonspecific immunity, antibody and cellular immunity, immunodeficiencies).
- 8. Gastroenterology I (complications of oesophagus and stomach diseases, complications of bowel diseases).
- 9. Gastroenterology II (liver failure, pancreas and gallbladder diseases, acute pancreatitis).
- 10. Nephrology (kidney failure, inflammations of kidney, lithiasis, hydronephrosis).
- 11. Metabolic diseases (complications of diabetes mellitus, goat seizure).
- 12. Endocrine diaseases (endocrine comas, diseases of suprarenal glands).
- 13. Emergencies in internal medicine (coma, cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
- 14. Geriatrics (specificities of the care for elderly patient in emergency). 15. Communication basics, stress situation management
