Course objectives
The course aims to familiarize students with:
- the basic prerequisites for physical activity (motor abilities and skills),
- diagnostic methods of physical prerequisites and standardized movement assessments for children and adolescents,
- the main manifestations in the course of ontogenetic development,
- Communication specifics in the field of physical education according to the age of individuals
- The issue of substitute communication in neurodivergent individuals
- current curricular documents and their application in practice
- Communication means used in the physical education process (basic gymnastic terminology) and their application in work across the age spectrum
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be:
- familiar with basic definitions, differentiation, and diagnostics of motor abilities and skills (in healthy populations and populations with health limitations)
- able to describe the stages of ontogenetic development
- knowledgeable about the process and phases of motor learning
- acquainted with current curriculum documents, methodological and didactic approaches in school physical education
- aware of the specifics of communication with children, including differences in the neurodivergent population
- able to use the basic gymnastic terminology of physical exercises correctly.

1. Introduction to the subject of Methodology of Physical Education I-IV 2. Introduction to the basics of anthropomotorics 3. Definition, structuring, and testing of motor abilities/skills 4. Ontogenesis of motor development 5. Specifics of the ontogenesis of motor development 6. Theoretical foundations for testing motor abilities and skills 7. Testing motor abilities and skills in children with various types of health limitations 8. Curricular documents and current changes in school physical education 9. Specifics of communication when working with children 10. Basic gymnastics terminology in physical education
