Theatralia. Revue současného myšlení o divadelní kultuře 2/2016

Theatralia, ‘the Revue of Contemporary Thought on Theatre Culture’ (ISSN 1803-845X), is peer-reviewed scholarly journal issued by the Department of Theatre Studies, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in Brno.

The journal is published twice a year, regularly altering the Czech and English edition. Each issue focuses on a particular topic from history or theory of theatre in the section called ‘Yorick’, which constitutes the major thematic focus of the journal. The ‘Yorick’ section can become, if needed, the only section included in the issue. Articles on different subjects are grouped in section called ‘Spektrum’. Both of these sections are subject to a peer reviewing process.

The aim of the journal is to map theatre in its varied language and generic forms regardless of time and territory by means of publishing scholarly articles, reviews and archival materials of all kinds. Besides the already mentioned ‘Yorick’ (thematic articles) and ‘Spektrum’ (varia), other regular sections include ‘Depeše’ (Despatches; reports from various events connected to theatre and/or drama, especially conferences), ‘Orientace’ (Orientation; critical reviews of recently published volumes on theatre and/or drama), ‘Yoriczek’ (Small Yorick; abbreviated versions of successful BA and MA theses), ‘Archiv’ (Archive; unpublished archival materials, often accompanied by a study summarizing the aims and achievements of the research), and ‘Host’(Guest).
