Course objectives
At the end of this course, the students should be able to understand the main topics of Biochemistry II course: (i) Replication, transcription and translation of nucleic acids. (ii) Understanding the principles and relationships between sugar, lipid, aminoacids and protein metabolism and biosynthesis. (iii). Structure and function of respiratory chain and photosynthesis. Thermodynamics of redox reactions.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, the students should be able to understand the main topics of Biochemistry II course: (i) Replication, transcription and translation of nucleic acids. (ii) Understanding the principles and relationships between sugar, lipid, aminoacids and protein metabolism and biosynthesis. (iii). Structure and function of respiratory chain and photosynthesis. Thermodynamics of redox reactions.

Test No.1. 5. Redox reactions 6. Metabolism and biosynthesis of sugars and lipids: Repetition and exercises I 7. Metabolism and biosynthesis of sugars and lipids: Repetition and exercises I 8. Test No.2. 9. Metabolism of proteins and aminoacids 10. Urea cycle and nitrogen metabolism 11. Biosynthesis of aminoacids 12. Test No.3.

Teaching methods
Seminar: Class discussion on the problematics, exercises, calculations.
Assessment methods
One lesson can be absent. Longer absence caused by illness must be apologized via Office for Studies. The credit will be obtained in case of success in sectional tests written during semester. Reperative tests will be focused on complete content of the course.
