- Course objectives
- To review current knowledge on genetics of blood groups in humans and in animals, on genetic control of immune responses and on methods of analysis of the immunogenome in man and animals and with relevant achievements in this area.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students get an overview of modern knowledge on genetics of blood groups in humans and in animals, on genetic control of immune responses and on methods of analysis of the immunogenome in man and animals and with relevant achievements in this area.

- Immunogenetics and immunogenomoics: definition and brief history.
- Blood group genetics in man and animals.
- Genetic control of immune responses.
- Genetics of transplantation.
- Genetics of infection: host and pathogen interactions.
- Molecules at the host and pathogen inter-phase and their genes.
- Genetics of antigen presentation.
- Imunogenome and its analysis. Immunogenome: structure, organization, polymorphism, evolution and selection, associations with disease.
- Immunogenetics of vaccination.
- Immunogenetics of tumors.
- Immunogenetics of reproduction.
