Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic knowledge of Italian (A0-A1 CEFR).
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- communicate in the most common situations of everyday life,
- ask questions (hobbies, languages, work, study, lessons, etc.) and simply answer them,
- read a short text and to write several coherent sentences,
- apply basic grammar rules.
Syllabus
  • Greetings.
  • Italian pronunciation.
  • Introducing oneself. The verb "essere".
  • Singural and plural of nouns and adjectives.
  • Family relation. Possessive pronouns.
  • Verbs of the I,II and III verbal classes. Reflexive verbs.
  • Hours. Cardinal numerals.
  • Italian article.
  • The Italians end bars. Food.
  • Writing an e-mail. Telephone conversation.
  • Past tense "Passato prossimo". Concordance with direct pronouns.
  • Telling about myself. Asking and answering in the past tense.
  • Doscription of a house, of an appartment. "C'è, ci sono".

Seminar and practice, e-learning course.
Assessment methods
Credit course - written final test.
Attendance and participation in the seminar (min. 70%) is required.
The student has to deliver 6 shorts texts in Italian, 6 traductions and complete on-line tests (Elf).
